INNOCAT aims to diffuse an innovation in the domain of recycling and substitution of Platinum group metals (PGMs) in automotive catalysts.

The innovation was conceptualised and first developed by MONOLITHOS, a pioneer in sustainable catalytic converters, and utilises copper nanoparticles to substitute PGMs in catalysts by up to 60%.

PGMs are some of the rarest & hardest to produce elements on earth with a very high supply risk.

Nonetheless, they are among the most important for the EU and its automotive industry.
