INNOCAT anticipates that its results will:
Raise awareness and stimulate policy support for CRMs related activities in RIS countries,
Build-up a community with all three sides of the knowledge triangle (business, education and research) in these countries, and essentially
Kick-start the emergence of innovative territorial ecosystems for the collection, replacement, and recycling of catalytic converters, turning them into secondary sources of PGMs.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Exchange and diffusion of innovation and best practices on substituting PGMs in catalytic converters.
Pilot application of retrofitting HDVs, including evaluation results and economic impact assessment.
Development of policy recommendations and roadmaps for public authorities to build-up the CRMs community for PGMs collection, recycling, and substitution.
Capacity-building and matchmaking for key-beneficiaries in RIS countries to develop their businesses and participate in such ecosystems (i.e. SMEs and start-ups).
